Blues release defenseman Colin White

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced the club has released defenseman Colin White today.

White, 35, appeared in 54 games for the San Jose Sharks last season posting four points (one goal, three assists) and 21 penalty minutes.  The 6’3, 215-pound defenseman is a veteran of 12 National Hockey League (NHL) seasons including 11 with the New Jersey Devils with whom he won the Stanley Cup in both 2000 and 2003.  Overall, White has dressed in 797 career games amassing 129 points (21 goals, 108 assists) and 869 penalty minutes as well as 17 points (three goals, 14 assists) in 114 career playoff games.  

The New Glasgow, Nova Scotia native was originally drafted by New Jersey in the second round (49th overall) of the 1996 Entry Draft.
