Blues activate Elliott, place Porter on IR

ST. LOUIS -- Brian Elliott has is ready to get back between the pipes.
The St. Louis Blues activated Elliott from Injured Reserve on Tuesday morning, while also announcing Chris Porter will replace Elliott on the IR after the forward suffered a lower-body injury in the Blues' 3-0 win over the Avalanche on Monday. The team says they will re-evaluate Porter's situation in six weeks.
Elliott missed the last 14 games due to a lower-body injury sustained against the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 25. Prior to the setback, the Blues' No. 1 goalie appeared in 14 games, posting an 8-4-1 record while pacing the NHL overall with a 1.82 goals against average and sitting fourth in save percentage at .931.
