For the first time in Blue Jackets' franchise history, the team has recorded back to back shutouts with two different goaltenders when Steve Mason was able to blank the Predators by the score of two-to-zero in front of 10,095 fans at Nationwide Arena.
After Mathieu Garon kept his net clean with a three-to-zero game against the San Jose Sharks, the unwritten rule is that the goalie keeps his net until he gives up a goal. Blue Jackets head coach Scott Arniel doesn't subscribe to the unwritten rules or to conventional wisdom.
