Blake Griffin's post-elbow surgery plans? Watching Netflix

Blake Griffin was supposed to take part in this weekend's All-Star Game in New York City.

Instead, the Los Angeles Clippers' star forward will be recovering from right elbow surgery to remove a staph infection that will keep him off the court for at least the next nine games.

Griffin will be re-evaluated in three weeks. A usual recovery time for such an injury is often four to six weeks but could be less time or more, depending on how the athlete responds and how severe of an infection.

On Tuesday, Griffin said on Twitter that he plans to spend his recovery time with Netflix.

No word on which show, or shows, Griffin plans to spend his time watching, but here are some suggestions:

The Wire

Breaking Bad

The Sopranos

Sons of Anarchy

The Shield
