NEW YORK (AP) Blacktype swept past the field on Wednesday to win the $85,000 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park.
The trailer in the six-horse field for most of the race, Blacktype rallied down the center for his fourth win in 14 starts. The 4-year-old brown gelding was trained by Christophe Clement and ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr.
Blacktype paid $6, $4.20 and $2.90
Front got second, 1 1/4 lengths behind Blacktype, and returned $10 and $6.50.

The time was 1:41.80 for 1 1/16 miles
