The day after beating Arizona 19-13 in the team's third preseason game, the Bengals front office made their first round of roster cuts.

The team terminated the contract of fourth-year CB R.J. Stanford, making him a free agent. They waived DT Larry Black, S Isaiah Lewis, K Quinn Sharp and fourth-year WR Ryan Whalen.

Sharp made both his field goal attempts in Sunday night's victory, from 34 and 51 yards respectively.

Stanford was signed March 24th as a free agent. He spent 2012-13 with the Dolphins. He is second on the team this preseason with 8 solo tackles.

Whalen was a sixth round draft pick of the Bengals in 2011. He caught 11 passes for 80 yards in his three seasons with the Bengals. He had 4 receptions for 31 yards this preseason.

The Bengals roster now sits at 81 players. They have to be at 75 players Tuesday at 4pm, and then cut down to 53 Saturday.
