Bengals close to signing Johnson as RB insurance

Larry Johnson is close to finding a new home.
The Cincinnati Bengals have decided to sign former Chiefs running back Larry Johnson and are trying right now to work out a deal, FOXSports.com has learned.
Johnson flew to Cincinnati on Monday for his first face-to-face conversation with team officials. Incumbent starting RB Cedric Benson is currently hampered by a hip injury, but the team does not expect him to miss much time, if any. A potential signing of Johnson appears to be an insurance policy in case Benson's hip worsens.
