Badgers freshmen watch: Game 11
Time for another edition looking at the playing time and statistics of the younger players on the roster of the Wisconsin Badgers.
In a game in which Wisconsin scored just seven points, probably no shock that no young Badgers player stood out on offense. But defensively against Northwestern, redshirt freshman linebacker T.J. Edwards -- who has started every game -- had eight tackles, his most since the Purdue game, including a big fourth-down stop.
I was going to say we probably won't see much change in who plays and who doesn't with one game and a bowl left, but redshirt freshman offensive lineman George Panos got into just his second game of the season and first since Miami (Ohio). Needless to say, though, I wouldn't expect any "true" freshman who has yet to see the field get any action.
