San Diego State University dismissed troubled running back Dillon Baxter for "various reasons," according to a San Diego Union-Tribune report.
The paper, quoting Aztecs coach Rocky Long, said Baxter was "no longer part of the program." He had been suspended from spring practice last week, but was supposed to participate on the team after sitting out the 2011-12 season due to NCAA transfer guidelines.
Baxter, 20, had numerous off-field problems while at USC, including a suspension for misconduct during fall camp. He often apologized for his actions and said he was a changed man, but would then commit the same sort of mistakes, according to the report.
