TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State women's basketball dropped its second consecutive game Friday night, falling to Washington State 54-43.

Freshman guard Arnecia Hawkins led the Sun Devils (11-10, 3-6 Pac-12) with a career-best 18 points while adding two of ASU's 10 steals. Haley Videckis added seven points and six rebounds for the Sun Devils, who shot 26 percent from the floor.

Lia Galderia led the Cougars (7-13, 3-6 Pac-12) with 20 points, making Friday night's win her second straight game with 20 or more points, and added seven steals.

Washington State became only the ninth opponent in ASU's last 17 games to shoot above 34 percent, as the Cougars shot 41 percent for the game.

After the Sun Devils took their second and final lead of the game (7-6 with 17:52 remaining in the first half), the Cougars went on an 11-0 run to take control of the contest.

ASU would get within four points, 22-18, but would score only two points over the last six-plus minutes of the half and went into the intermission trailing 30-20.

The Sun Devils' fortunes would get no better in the second half, as they struggled to get shots to fall. The Cougars would lead by as many as 24 in the second half before ASU rallied late.

The Sun Devils' bench contributed 28 points, marking the 10th time this season it has scored 25 or more points.
