The fourth-ranked Arizona State softball team hit three home runs in the series finale Sunday en route to a 7-1 win over Stanford for a series sweep.

The weekend sweep was the Devils' third straight at home, with the previous two being against Arizona and UCLA. It was also the eighth game of the year in which Arizona State (39-5, 11-2 Pac-12) hit three or more home runs.

Senior pitcher Hillary Bach improved to 19-0 on the year with Sunday’s victory, allowing only three hits and notching three strikeouts.

The Devils wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard in the first inning, with Katelyn Boyd drawing a leadoff walk and Alix Johnson rocketing a two-run homer to left-center. Elizabeth Caporuscio followed later in the frame for her own homer to put ASU up 3-0.

Neither team scored again until the top of the fourth. Stanford Cardinal (32-16, 6-12 Pac-12) recorded its only run of the game when Jenna Rich homered to make it a 3-1 game.

Boyd extended the lead in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run shot of her own that put ASU up 5-1. Pinch runner Kayla Ketchum then came around on a passed ball before Talor Haro scored on a sacrifice groundout to make it 7-1.

Teagan Gerhart took the loss for Stanford, falling to 27-10 on the year.
