Astros catcher Max Stassi's X-Rays and CAT scan came back negative for facial fractures after the rookie was struck by a pitch in the shoulder and face by a 96-mph fastball Wednesday night against the Rangers. Stassi left the game bleeding and was taken to a local hospital.

He was scheduled to released today after staying overnight at the Medical Center of Arlington the Astros released in a statement. He planned to return to Houston and continue undergoing testing for a concussion.

Stassi was just called up to major leagues Tuesday and recorded his first RBI due to the hit-by-pitch.
