Joel Meyers returns to answer more questions from Laker fans. Joel speculates on what might be the problem with the Lakers bench, elaborates on what former Lakers Mike Penberthy and Slava Medvedenko have been up to since their retirement and talks about the Lakers upcoming courtside view broadcast.

The story of late has been the Lakers losing 20+ point leads and getting blown out. It seems to happen when "The Killer B's" kill our lead. Do you think Phil Jackson should sit the bench and rely on the starting unit more? "The Kill-Our-Leads" have really been a letdown from the first 15 games of the season. What gives?

Joe,

With the way the season started and especially for the guys off the bench, I never thought we'd be talking about problems with the second unit. I may be may be looking through rose colored glasses, but I still feel the reserves are going to be a strength for the Lakers. I felt at the start of the season that this is a deeper group than the one that won a title last year. That doesn't mean they're more athletic, but proven pros that have been in just about every situation already in their careers. Steve Blake has just started to get his stroke back and he's one of the few guys that always looks to go to the post early in the half court sets. Matt Barnes is a tough guy that will pay dividends in the second half of the season. Shannon Brown
