Arizona football up to 15 commitments for Class of 2016

Arizona's football recruiting for 2016 continues to pick up steam with two additional commitments, bringing the total to 15 for Rich Rodriguez and his staff.

The latest commitments, making it seven since Saturday, are 3-star defensive lineman Jake Burton of Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, Calif., and safety London Iakopo of Long Beach Community College.

Burton, 6-feet-6, 235 pounds, told Scout.com that he chose Arizona over UCLA and Vanderbilt.

"I feel great right now, I'm very excited to be a Wildcat," Burton told Scout.com. "I decided last night and then slept on it to make sure I still felt good about it this morning. I woke up and knew that's where I wanted to be, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

"I visited last Thursday and Friday and just knew right there on campus that Arizona was the place. I had such a great comfort level with the coaches and love how I fit in there."

Iakopo, 6-0, 210, is a Long Beach CC teammate of defensive end Josh Allen, who also committed to Arizona this week.

Scout.com's analysis: "Iakopo reads and analyzes plays well, giving him an edge in coverage and always allowing him to be in the right spot at the right time. Iakopo's lack of elite speed isn't a concern because he doesn't take any false steps, and has a great football IQ, and a nose for the ball."
