Arian Foster to appear on 'Hawaii Five-O'

Acting has long seemed like a calling for Arian Foster, and the Houston Texans running back makes his network-television acting debut on an episode of Hawaii Five-O.

Foster's episode, called "Pa'ani" is scheduled to air Feb. 18 at 9 p.m. (central time) on CBS. Foster's character will be helping solve a murder.

It has been a good year for Foster's visibility. Already regarded as one of the NFL's best running backs, he got a lot of attention before the NFL season for saying he was going vegan. Turned out he really wasn't, months later admitting that he continued to eat chicken, but the whole thing had a positive effect on his level of fame. He appeared winningly in a commercial for NFL.com, and it also helped that the Texans appeared to be the best team in the NFL for a couple of months.

The 26-year-old Foster, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2009, rushed for 1,424 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, helping lead the Texans to the AFC South championship.
