FOXSPORTS OHIO PREPS FOR BLUE JACKETS WITH THE

“COUNTDOWNTO FACE OFF”

Columbus Blue Jackets fans don’t have to wait until Opening Night to enjoy Blue
Jackets hockey. As the team gears up for what will be an exciting 2013-14
season, FOX Sports Ohio is helping fans get ready too by featuring special Blue
Jackets programming throughout the month of September in a “Countdown to Face
Off.”

In
the “Countdown to Face Off,” FOX Sports Ohio will feature Blue Jackets
Classic Rewinds, a Blue Jackets Draft Special, and Blue
Jackets Slap Shots: Season Preview. A complete listing of the “Countdown
to Face Off” premiere schedule is below.

Ohio’s
leading regional sports network will telecast four Blue Jackets Classic
Rewinds. Hosted by Dave Maetzold, this series premieres Monday, Sept. 2
at 7pm with the game from April 27, 2013. Jack Johnson scored the go-ahead goal
with 4:48 left, and the Blue Jackets capped a stunning turnaround to their 2013
season with a comeback 3-1 victory over the Nashville Predators.

FOX
Sports Ohio further prepares for the start of the Jackets’ season with the Blue
Jackets Draft Special, premiering Saturday, Sept. 7 at 8pm.
Hosted by Dave Maetzold, this 30-minute show is a behind-the-scenes look at the
Blue Jackets 2013 draft. The network traveled to the Prudential Center in
Newark, New Jersey to bring Jackets fans unprecedented access to everything
leading up to and including this historic day.  With three first-round
picks, the Jackets continued to build on the success of last year with an eye
on the future of the franchise.  This program will replay several times
throughout the month of September. Check local listings.

FOX
Sports Ohio rounds out its “Countdown to Face Off” programming with Blue
Jackets Slap Shots: Season Preview. This half-hour special takes a look
at the team’s off-season player moves and preparation as well as discusses
expectations for the upcoming season.  Blue Jackets Slap Shots:
Season Preview debuts Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 6:30pm and replays
throughout the rest of the month.

Blue
Jackets fans can also get ready for the season with preseason coverage on. Dan Kamal and Rick Gethin will
provide updates from Training Camp, and Alison Lukan and the Dark Blue Jacket
blog will offer the fan perspective with regular features and posts.
