Almonte activated from restricted list, Brantley placed on 60-day DL

After serving an 80-game suspension for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs, Abraham Almonte is ready to start his season with a clean slate.
The Indians announced Sunday morning that the team has activated the 27-year-old outfielder from the restricted list.
In seven games with Triple-A Columbus, he batted .444 with 12 hits, including a home run and four RBI.
Terry Francona isn't wasting any time getting Almonte back into the swing of things either, as he's starting in center field and batting eighth for the Tribe in their series finale with the Blue Jays.
In a corresponding roster move, Cleveland placed Michael Brantley (shoulder) on the 60-day disabled list retroactive to May 9.
Cleveland also demoted left-hander Shawn Morimando to the Clippers after a spot appearance in Saturday's game.
