
Afridi blitz takes Pakistan to 201-5 vs Bangladesh at WT20

KOLKATA , India (AP) Captain Shahid Afridi capitalized on a solid partnership between Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad as Pakistan scored 201-5 against Bangladesh in their World Twenty20 Group 2 game on Wednesday.
Afridi smashed 49 off just 19 deliveries with four fours and four sixes as Pakistan posted its highest total at the World Twenty20 after electing to bat on a good batting pitch.
Hafeez struck 64 off 42 deliveries with seven fours and two sixes, while opener Shehzad got 52 off 39 with eight fours. They added 95 runs for the second wicket.
For Bangladesh, which won the previous two T20s against Pakistan, pace bowler Taskin Ahmed and left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny bagged two wickets each.
