The New York Jets and coach Rex Ryan don't appear to have much love for Tim Tebow, but there is a team down in Florida that has interest.
No, it's not the Jaguars, Dolphins or Bucs.
Try the Arena Football League's Orlando Predators.
If the whole NFL deal doesn't work out, Predators owner Brett Bouchy says the team would welcome him with open arms.
“Tim would certainly want to first exhaust his opportunities in the NFL, but we'd love to have him,” Bouchy told the Orlando Sentinel. “I think he would definitely improve as a quarterback in our league.
"Kurt Warner told me once that when he got back to the NFL after playing in the Arena League, the NFL game was like slow motion. Everything in the Arena League is just so much faster and quicker and predicated on accuracy. Whenever Tim is willing, we have a contract waiting for him to sign.”
While it's true Warner was discovered in the Arena Football, he wasn't a Heisman Tropy winner and two-time national champion who was drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft like Tebow.
And notably, there haven't been any other successful QBs to follow in Warner's path.
So it's doubtful Tebow will see the AFL as a place to hone his skills should he wash out of the NFL.
Before landing in New York, Tebow had a mixed 2011. While he was able to lead the Broncos to the playoffs, his passing was less than desirable as he completed just 46.5% of his passes for 1,729 yards, 12 TDs and six interceptions. But he was an adept runner, rushing for 660 yards and six touchdowns.
Despite the playoff berth, the Broncos decided to go in a different direction at QB, signing Peyton Manning and then trading Tebow to the Jets last March.
But Tebow wallowed on the bench and saw as much time playing special teams as he did quarterback. He saw limited in action in 12 games, completing 6 of 8 passes for 39 yards and rushing for 102 yards. He failed to score a touchdown.
