LONDON (AP) Adam Peaty of Britain has broken the men's 100-meter breaststroke world record, clocking 57.92 seconds Friday at the British championships at the London Aquatic Centre.
The 20-year-old Peaty beat the previous record of 58.46 set by South African Cameron van der Burgh in the same venue at the 2012 Olympics.
Peaty said there ''must be something in that lane four when it really matters.''
It was Peaty's second victory of the championships after finishing first in the 200 breaststroke on Tuesday.
