The names are not of the household variety, but they might be by the end of the 2012 season.
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced their preseason All-Conference team Wednesday, with Clemson, Florida State and North Carolina leading the way with four selections each.

Clemson's Sammy Watkins was the only unanimous selection for the conference, an impressive feat for the sophomore wide receiver.

Florida State end Brandon Jenkins earned the most votes for a defensive player, narrowly edging Maryland tackle Joe Vellano. Both were named to multiple award watch-lists during the summer and both are vital cogs to their respective defenses.

Clemson’s Tajh Boyd was selected at quarterback over standouts E.J. Manuel and Logan Thomas. It will be interesting to see whether that remains the same when it comes time for voting at the end of the season, which is the vote that really matters.
