MINNEAPOLIS -- Following a left hamstring strain sustained in the second game of Minnesota's Sunday doubleheader at Washington, the Twins placed outfielder Aaron Hicks on the 15-day disabled list.
In his stead, they've called up outfielder Oswaldo Arcia from Triple-A Rochester, and he'll be available for Tuesday's home tilt against Philadelphia. It'll be Arcia's third major-league stint this season.
In two previous appearances in the Twin Cities totaling 30 games, Arcia batted .255 with four home runs and 14 RBI.
Hicks goes on the DL batting .179 - the worst of any regular Twins starter.
