A look at the Suns Christmas jersey concept
The Phoenix Suns likely won't be suiting up for a game on Christmas. But just in case the NBA schedule-makers decide otherwise, the league commissioned a jersey designer to prepare a concept design.
Uni-Watch.com's Paul Lukas got an inside peek at nearly every NBA squad's potential Christmas Day look.
Like the others, the Suns jerseys include the team name on the front in a cursive script, like that of a Christmas card. Phoenix's color scheme involves a cream version of their bright orange for the lettering and numbering, while the base is, in Lukas' words, "greige," or a fabric that doesn't include dyes or bleaches.
The Suns' Christmas pant concepts.
The pants look mostly like the standard shorts worn by the Suns, aside from the new color scheme to match the jerseys.
The NBA schedule for 2015-16 has yet to come out, and though the league issued five games on Christmas Day last season, the odds are against Phoenix's inclusion unless there's a fit for a high-profile matchup that day.
Suns fans can always wish. Maybe Santa Silver will deliver.
