3-year-old explains bad call in Outback Bowl

It was a call so obvious that a 3-year-old could see it.
Too bad the ref didn't.
Referee Jeff Maconaghy blew a call during the South Carolina-Michigan Outback Bowl in which the Wolverines ran a fake punt on fourth-and-4 in their own territory with less than eight minutes remaining.
Michigan appeared short of the first-down marker, but close enough for a measurement. The ball was still inches away from the first down but the referee signaled for a Wolverines first down.
An irate Steve Spurrier argued the call, but Maconaghy didn't change his mind.
The truth though, was clear to the young girl watching from home.
"The referee said it's touching that pole," she said, while pointing at the screen. "But it's really not."
Luckily for those watching at home the blown call did lead to one of the highlights of the bowl season as on the next play Jadeveon Clowney forced a fumble with a devastating hit on Vincent Smith and ultimately the Gamecocks did win 33-28.
