1. He leads the American League in Wins Above Replacement (WAR)

2. His 28 straight hits at home is the longest hitting streak in Progressive Field history

3. He hits for average and is great at getting on base, top five in baseball in both batting average and on-base percentage

4. Sports Illustrated named him their AL MVP leader in its most recent awards watch post. An MVP shouldn't be left out of the All-Star game

5. He had 51 hits, 30 runs and 1.217 OPS in the month of May, something only 15 other players have done

6. With a .511 OBP in May, Kipnis was on base more times than he was not
