The CEO of the U.S. Olympic Committee says the federation is making progress in revenue-sharing talks with the International Olympic Committee.
CEO Scott Blackmun said Friday he remains optimistic that a deal can be reached.
The parties are negotiating new terms to the deal that calls for the USOC to receive 20 percent of the IOC's global sponsorship revenue and almost 13 percent of its U.S. broadcast rights fees. The IOC believes the U.S. share is excessive.
Solving the dispute is key to the U.S making a bid to host future Olympics.
On Tuesday, IOC President Jacques Rogge told The Associated Press there are ''a couple of issues we still have to discuss.''
