LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) USA Luge will go to the Olympic track to decide its World Cup roster.
The team announced Thursday that a training session in Pyeongchang, South Korea, on Nov. 5 (the night of Nov. 4 EDT) will serve as the second seeding race of the season and decide who makes the World Cup team.
Making the World Cup luge team is a prerequisite for consideration for the 2018 Olympics.
The U.S. will send 15 sliders - three doubles teams, plus five men and four women - into the World Cup. Most spots have been locked up, with the women's roster remaining uncertain.

World champion Erin Hamlin has clinched her berth. Four teammates - Emily Sweeney, Summer Britcher, Raychel Germaine and Brittney Arndt - are vying for the other three spots.
