The men’s 4x400-meter relay team from the United States was disqualified from the race after finishing first Sunday at the world indoor championships.
The Americans crossed the line first, but they were disqualified for “exchanging positions before take-over.”
The U.S. team has filed as appeal.
Britain moved up from silver to gold, while Trinidad and Tobago moved from bronze to silver and Russia took bronze.
