CRANS-MONTANA, Switzerland (AP) Olympic and world slalom champion Mikaela Shiffrin says she will return to World Cup ski racing next week in Switzerland after two months out injured.

Shiffrin advanced her comeback plans when a slalom was organized for next Monday at Crans-Montana.

The American racer says on her Facebook page ''See ya in a week!''

Shiffrin writes: ''I said that I hope to race at the end of February or early March, but you may have heard that the canceled slalom from Maribor has been rescheduled for Crans Montana on February 15. And I'm going to be there!''

She won two slaloms this season before tearing a ligament in her right knee preparing for a December race in Sweden.

With only three slaloms left, three-time defending champion Shiffrin cannot retain her title.
