Russia beats Lithuania 77-68 in exhibition

Andrei Kirilenko had 15 points and eight rebounds to lead Russia to a 77-68 victory over Lithuania on Wednesday in an international exhibition game.

Alexander Kaun scored 21 points for Russia, which trailed 37-35 at halftime in the game played in Hofheinz Pavilion at the University of Houston. The crowd was predominantly wearing green and backing Lithuania.

Alexey Shved had 10 assists for Russia, which scored 26 points off Lithuania turnovers.

Jonas Valanciunas and Linas Kleiza both scored 12 points for Lithuania, which has qualified for each Olympic tournament since 1992.

The exhibition game was one of several here this week in preparation for the 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which begins next week in Caracas, Venezuela.
