Lindsey Vonn fractures left knee in ski crash, gets carried off mountain
U.S. skier Lindsey Vonn suffered a hairline fracture in her left knee when she crashed during the World Cup Super-G event on Saturday in Andorra.
She shared this update on Instagram:
After suffering the injury, Vonn was carried down the mountain. The race was delayed for about 10 minutes as medical personnel attended to her.
Vonn suffered a torn ACL in her right knee in February 2013 and re-injured it in November of the same year, preventing her from competing in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
