London mayor Boris Johnson says large screens showing live coverage of some of the 2012 London Olympics are planned in venues across the capital.
Johnson said Wednesday that the city will have outdoor screens in Hyde Park, Victoria Park and Trafalgar Square. Spectators will also have the chance to try out different sports.
Concerts are also planned in Hyde Park to coincide with the games opening and closing ceremonies. The line-up has not been announced.
The screenings will be free but spectators will have to buy tickets for the Hyde Park concerts.
