The Detroit Red Wings new home, Little Caesar’s Arena and the District Detroit are progressing nicely – and with modern technology, we can get a birds eye view.

Mike Ilitch doesn’t do anything small. The creator of Little Caesars has been a huge part of restoring the city of Detroit, however his latest creation may be the biggest and best yet. From resorting the historical FOX Theater, to Comerica Park, Ilitch has practically taken over Woodward Ave. Now, as the Detroit Red Wings prepare to play their last season at Joe Louis Arena, the pizza king’s latest creation is starting to take shape.

Little Caesars Arena and the new Detroit District are beginning to come together, and it is getting rave reviews. The new stadium is going to be one of the best in the NHL and it is creating a whole new “mini-city” right on Woodward Avenue.

By the looks of things, the Ilitch family along with the designers have gone all out to make going to a Red Wings game an event fans will remember forever.

Located right across the street from Comerica park and just blocks from the FOX Theater, Little Caesars Arena is going to tie downtown Detroit together very nicely. The District Detroit will be an estimated 50 blocks surrounding the stadium and will include businesses, parks and several new bars and restaurants. By the updated pictures and videos, it looks like it is going to be the place to be in Detroit next year.
