Former Chicago Blackhawks legendary forward Bobby Hull had no issue with Patrick Kane chasing - and ultimately breaking - his franchise-record point streak.

In fact, the Hall of Famer did his best to convince reporters that Wayne Gretzky's NHL-record 51-game point streak is within Kane's reach. The then-Edmonton Oilers standout's amazing run spanned from the 1983 season until January 1984.

"If he goes on and chases Gretzky, it's only 30 (more)," Hull joked of Kane, who extended his franchise-record point streak to 22 games with an assist in Sunday's 3-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. "It's not a big deal. He can get 30 more, I'm sure."

Nicknamed "The Golden Jet", Hull collected 23 goals and 12 assists while setting his 21-game point streak from Dec. 5, 1971 to Jan. 23, 1972.

Kane, who leads the league with 42 points, has recorded 13 goals and 23 assists during his 22-game streak. The 2013 Conn Smythe Trophy winner alertly batted the puck forward to set up Artemi Panarin's empty-net goal with 1:46 remaining on Sunday to extend his streak.

Kane and the Blackhawks will host the Central Division-rival Nashville Predators on Tuesday.
