Crosby excels as goalie in ball hockey game

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby isn't afraid to step out of his comfort zone.

The two-time Hart Trophy winner willingly donned the goaltender's equipment and took his place in the crease in a Pittsburgh-area ball hockey game on Tuesday.

Joined by former Penguin Colby Armstrong, Crosby helped "Team Iceland" post a 4-3 win in the Cranberry Dek Hockey League. The game was not the 28-year-old's first in the league, as he recorded a shutout while remaining largely anonymous in a December 2012 contest until being identified late in the tilt.

Although Crosby guided his team to victory on Tuesday, Penguins franchise goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury shouldn't be worried about job security.
