Chicago D Campbell returns from broken collarbone

Published Apr. 23, 2010 1:31 a.m. ET

Chicago defenseman Brian Campbell is playing Game 4 against Nashville a little more than six weeks after breaking his collarbone and a rib after a hit from Washington's Alex Ovechkin.

Campbell returned to practice April 14 and sat out the first three games of the first-round series. However, the Blackhawks went into Game 4 on Thursday night trailing 2-1, so Campbell was back on the ice.

Ovechkin was suspended for driving Campbell into the boards on March 14, snapping Campbell's streak of consecutive regular-season games at 388. He is in the second year of an eight-year, $56.8 million contract.

The Blackhawks also played right wing Adam Burish and rookie forward Bryan Bickell after both missed the first three games.
