Rams narrowing down options for new headquarters in LA
The Los Angeles Rams are closing in on a home for their new team headquarters.
A source told FOXSports.com that the Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village areas are now the franchise's main area of focus. A final decision should come within the next few weeks.
The Rams will hold their offseason practices in Oxnard, which is roughly 60 miles to the northwest of Los Angeles. However, the Dallas Cowboys are planning to return for their annual training camp in late July.
The Rams are still trying to finalize their own training camp site. Two colleges under consideration are Cal-Irvine and Cal-Lutheran in Thousand Oaks, which was once the host site for the Cowboys camp.
The Rams are likely to play their home games this year at the Los Angeles Coliseum until construction of their new stadium is completed in 2019.
The Rams are in the process of closing their headquarters in St. Louis after their proposal to move to Los Angeles was approved last month by NFL owners.
