John Fox doesn't know when Kevin White will be back

The Chicago Bears are still waiting on wide receiver Kevin White to grace the practice field at training camp. This year's seventh-overall selection injured his shin in the spring and has been resting it while on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

Bears head coach John Fox doesn't know when he can expect to have White back on the field.

"I’m looking at it day-to-day. I can’t predict," Fox said, via ESPN's Jeff Dickerson. "Sooner rather than later is what I hope, but that’s just a hope.

"I think at the end of the day I prefer for him to be out there, but I’ve seen guys miss time and have the seasons of their lives. I’m not going to try and define him; he’s going to have a chance to do that himself."

Fox did say White is "making headway" in his recovery, per ESPN, as the first-round rookie focuses on his cardio. Although he's still limited on grass, White has been able to do some of his rehab work in water.

Alshon Jeffery was also kept out of practice on Monday, according to ESPN, further complicating Chicago's situation at wide receiver. Luckily for the Bears, Jeffery's sprained AC shoulder joint is believed not to be serious.
