Browns hire Paul Dunn as new offensive line coach

The Cleveland Browns have hired long-time offensive line coach Paul Dunn to fill a vacancy on their coaching staff, a source tells FOXSports.com.

Dunn, 55, will serve as the team’s offensive line coach. Andy Moeller, who was Cleveland’s offensive line coach, parted ways with the team earlier this week following a domestic violence incident that had led to his suspension.

George DeLeone, who had handled Moeller’s duties on an interim basis, will return to being assistant line coach, the source said.

Dunn previously served as the offensive line coach for the Houston Texans in 2014 after spending six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. A former offensive lineman at the University of Pittsburgh, Dunn spent 24 years in the college coaching ranks before jumping to the NFL.

Despite fielding two blue-chip offensive linemen in left tackle Joe Thomas and center Alex Mack, the Browns (1-2) have allowed the fourth-highest NFL sack total this season with 10 and rank 25th in rushing with an 86.3-yard average. Cleveland's next game is Sunday at San Diego (1-2).
