Spurs playoff tickets among most expensive in NBA
The San Antonio Spurs are arguably the most successful basketball team the NBA's had over the last two decades. With all those championships and memorable playoff moments came a connection between the organization and its local fan base.
Thus, it should surprise nobody that the team's tickets are super expensive. According to BizJournals reporter W. Scott Bailey, "The Spurs entered the post-season with the third most expensive average ticket price among NBA playoff teams on the secondary market at nearly $321 per seat."
But after a Game 1 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio's average ticket price dropped to fifth, behind the Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets, per data provided by NerdWallet and TiqIQ.
Don't be shocked if the Spurs leapfrog a few of those teams over the next few weeks, as diehard fans realize this could be their last chance to see Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili battle for the championship.
