A few weeks ago, Tyrus Thomas said he was trying to make a comeback in the NBA. It seems like those dreams have to be put aside—for now.
From Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports:
Thomas signed a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies and played just two NBA games last season after playing elsewhere during 2013-14. The former fourth overall pick was a letdown after the Bulls drafted him and after he signed a five-year, $40 million deal with the at-the-time Bobcats, who eventually amnestied him.

At the very least, Thomas knows he's be alright financially playing in Germany. If he were to bounce around in the D-League trying to make it on with another NBA team, only to garner another cheap 10-day contract, he'd make substantially less money.
