NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Joey Gase is fine after a fire that swept through the cockpit of his car ended his day early in Saturday's DC Solar 200 at Phoenix Raceway.

The fire occurred after Gase had a right-front tire go down and he smacked the wall in Turn 4 at the 1-mile track, bringing out the caution flag with 44 laps remaining.

Gase signaled to the crowd that he was OK after he emerged from the smoke and flames by climbing from his car. He subsequently was treated and released from the infield care center.

But it was a scary moment. Check out the video above of the incident.
