VIDEO: Truex suffers tire failure, smacks wall in Saturday practice

FONTANA, Calif. -- Martin Truex Jr. has had a challenging start to the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season and it isn't getting any better this weekend.

Truex lost a left-rear tire in his No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet during Saturday's first practice session for Sunday's Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway.

When the tire blew, Truex went hard into the wall, and now his team will have to roll out a backup car for tomorrow's race.
