Richard Childress Racing announced late Saturday evening one pit crew member remains hospitalized, while another has been released, after a huge fire engulfed the No. 62 team's pit stall during Friday's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Richmond International Raceway.

The team announced fuel man Josh Wittman was released from a Richmond, Virginia-area hospital after being evaluated overnight.

While Wittman was released, rear tire changer Anthony O'Brien remains hospitalized and under the observation of physicians.

The statement said O'Brien remained in "good condition" as the doctors keep him for further evaluation.

RCR thanked the track fire crew and medical staff for their "quick action," and commended all of NASCAR's safety equipment.

"The Sparco safety equipment, including the crew members' firesuits, did its job in protecting them. We thank the NASCAR community for their continued support," the statement read.

A third crew member, Clifford Turner, from Eric McClure's team was also injured in the massive fire, but he was treated and released Friday night.
