Gary Frost, a crew member for Jeff Burton's No. 31 Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup team, has been suspended indefinitely from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s substance-abuse policy.

On May 23, Frost was found to have violated the NASCAR substance-abuse policy of the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rule book.

Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing, has terminated Frost and has issued the following statement:

"Richard Childress Racing has zero tolerance when an employee fails a NASCAR drug test due to an illegal substance. As a result, that person's employment is terminated. It is important for our fans and our partners to know illegal drug use at RCR is simply not tolerated."
