Mobil 1 to stick with Stewart-Haas Racing even after Tony Stewart retirement

This is Tony Stewart’s last full-time season as a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, but his long-time sponsor, Mobil 1, will stick with Stewart-Haas Racing next season.
Friday, the two parties announced that Mobil 1 will at various points be a primary sponsor for all four SHR Premier Series drivers next year and will be an associate sponsor for all the team’s cars in races where it isn’t the primary.
Next season, Clint Bowyer will replace Stewart in the No. 14 SHR Chevrolet while Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick and Kurt Busch will all remain with the team. With Stewart’s retirement, Harvick will become the “lead representative for the Mobil 1 brand both on and off the track,” the team announced.
Mobil 1 also will be an associate sponsor of SHR’s new NASCAR XFINITY Series team with driver Cole Custer next season.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with ExxonMobil for the 2017 race season and beyond,” said Stewart. “They’ve been an incredible partner. The success we’ve achieved has been greatly helped by Mobil 1 lubricant technology and our engineers working hand in hand with their engineers.”
