Friday rainout leads to revised Saturday schedule at Charlotte
All on-track activity at Charlotte Motor Speedway was rained out on Friday, as dreadful weather kept all cars and trucks of the track.
Rained out were the Sprint Showdown last-chance race, which determines the final five spots for Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race (FS1, 7 p.m. ET), as well as the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.
Also washed out were assorted practice and qualifying sessions for the Sprint Cup and Truck Series.
The field for the Sprint Showdown will be set per the NASCAR Rulebook, which means Chase Elliott will be on the pole.
After the action was officially halted, NASCAR released a revised schedule for the postponed races.
The Sprint Showdown will be run at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Sprint All-Star Race practice will be from 9:30-10 a.m. with pit road speed practice from 10:05 to 10:15 a.m.
The North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race will start at 12:30 p.m.
All the Saturday action will be televised on FS1.
