Published Apr. 11, 2016 1:16 p.m. ET

Pocono Raceway is going to the dogs in a big way.

Track President & CEO Brandon Igdalsky announced Monday -- National Pet Day -- that the Northeast Pennsylvania track will open Pocono Raceway Bark Park, which the track describes as "the first dog park at a national motorsports facility."

The Bark Park will be 100 feet square and will be built near the Infield Fan Center along Earnhardt Road at the 2.5-mile track.
