Alonso nearly collides with Rosberg at Spanish GP

Fernando Alonso of Ferrari has nearly collided with Mercedes' Nico Rosberg during qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix, with the former two-time Formula One champion defending his driving.

Alonso pulled out of Ferrari's garage and almost drove straight into Rosberg as they both left the pit lane at Circuit de Catalunya on Saturday.

Rosberg has called for a penalty after nearly being forced into a side wall, but Alonso says he didn't see the German and that he depends on his mechanics to know when to exit.

Alonso says ``if I get a penalty for this, you have to reconsider all races.''

Alonso nearly collided with teammate Felipe Massa at the Chinese GP after aggressively overtaking him at the pit lane entrance.
