Watch the 2016 Shelby GT350 hit the dyno

One of the recent highlights in the automotive industry has been the return of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350.
In two separate videos uploaded earlier this week, Hennessey Performance showcased what the muscle car was capable of on its hpedesign YouTube channel.
In the first, the 5.2L V8-powered machine is put through a dyno test, in which it revs over 8,200 rpm and produces 482 horsepower and 407 pound-feet of torque; not bad considering the fact that Ford rates the engine for 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft.
The next day, the car was shown topping out at 171.6 mph during an acceleration test, where it goes from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Hennessey states, however, that they weren’t as aggressive as they could have been during the run, and the numbers could be bettered:
Hennessey plans on upgrading the vehicle with one of its HPE800 superchargers, which they predict will push the numbers to 808 horsepower, 657 lb-ft, and a 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds.
